Locations are ranked based on a variety of criteria, including whether or not residents have a sense of belonging and community spirit, how close they are to parks and other open spaces, and the availability of other nearby amenities.
According to a recent survey, residents of St. Ives report the highest levels of happiness.
Rightmove’s annual survey placed the Cornish seaside town in first place this year, displacing Hexham, which was previously in first place.
The market town previously finished in first place on the list in 2019 and 2021, with St. Ives taking the top spot in the year 2020.
In the rankings for this year, Hexham finished in fourth place.
Second place went to Galashiels, which is located in the Scottish Borders, and third place went to Woodbridge, which is a market town in Suffolk.

According to Rightmove, residents of St. Ives gave the neighborhood high marks for its strong sense of community spirit, the strong sense of belonging its residents have, and the ease with which residents feel they can be themselves in the neighborhood.
However, over the course of the past year, the typical house price has increased by 6%, moving up from £492,870 to £523,731; this figure is significantly higher than the typical asking price of £366,999 for a home in the United Kingdom.
The neighboring community of Galashiels gave it an especially high rating for the politeness and friendliness of the locals.
It was discovered that Anglesey was the most pleasant place to reside in all of Wales.
